Reflexology is a form of therapy, working the reflexes in the feet or hands, which is said to correspond to other parts of the body.   It aims to restore balance, unblocking stagnant energy, which reduces tension, stress, promoting relaxation.   This treatment is particularly beneficial for fertility problems, digestive disorders, back pain, allergies, amongst others.   Tremendously relaxing, once you have tried reflexology, you will keep going.

Reiki is an ancient Japanese holistic therapy, meaning Universal Life Energy.   A natural and simple method of hands on healing, which flows through the Reiki practitioner.   Benefits can include immense relaxation, pain relief, tension release and an increase in energy levels.   Reiki works well on an emotional level, restoring positive energy and releasing negativity.

Swedish Massage is the traditional Western approach to massage.   It is the systematic and manual manipulation of the soft tissues of the body.   This can help to promote health and well-being by improving circulation, lymph flow and stimulates and tones muscle.   Great before and after exercise and for deskbound workers needing a release of tension.

Aromatherapy Massage uses essential oils to improve physical and emotional well-being.   The oils that I use are 100% pure and organic and are then absorbed into the body's systems through massage.   Carefully selected blends of oils are used to meet the needs of the individual to help alleviate or prevent various conditions.   A great way of maintaining health, with the help of nature.   This treatment is especially beneficial for relieving the symptoms of arthritis, fluid retention, muscular aches and insomnia.

Indian Head Massage originated in Indian Ayurvedic medicine.   The treatment consists of massage of the neck, shoulders, scalp, face, arms and hands.   It can help concentration, insomnia, sinusitis, relieves stiff muscles, improves skin and hair condition.   A non-invasive treatment which is perfect to receive in the workplace environment with or without the use of oils.

Sports Massage is an effective and beneficial form of physical therapy, not only for active sports people or those requiring therapy after a soft tissues injury, but also for people seeking relief from muscle tension or requiring massage for the maintenance of healthy muscles.   Sports massage involves the skill of joint mobilization, stretching and manipulating the soft tissues of the body.   Individual muscle groups are isolated, using specific and specialised techniques.

Hot Stone Massage uses hot volcanic stones to massage the body, relaxing muscles and easing muscle pain and discomfort.  The stones connect the flow of energy in order to rebalance the physical body, emotional mind and spirit as one.

Fiona’s friendly and professional approach in listening and tailoring treatments to my particular needs has helped me tremendously in relaxing from the typical stressful working day and also in my rigorous training in the run up for the London Marathon in April 2005. ‘Hands of Light Therapies’ are now part of my health regime and I look forward to every treatment I have knowing that I will be leaving totally relaxed and refreshed.
