Hot Stone Massage This is the latest therapy that I have learned and it is one of the most relaxing treatments you will experience. The added benefit of receiving this type of massage is the heat and the healing energies from the stones. They are made from basalt, which is the lava from a volcano, therefore retaining the heat. Heat relaxes the muscles even more than normal, allowing the massage to go deeper into the muscles. This treatment has mainly been perceived as a luxury pampering session but I have introduced it into sports therapy sessions. I have found this form of massage the most beneficial in treating people with sports related muscular problems, for ongoing maintenance and for any muscular discomfort. Reiki for Kids In 2008 I am going to introduce Reiki training workshops for children. This will be introduced to the children in a practical and fun session, learning all about Reiki and receiving the Reiki attunement so they are then able to practice Reiki on themselves, friends and family. Leslie Bike Shop Cycling Team I am a co-sponsor of this Road Racing Team, providing pre and post event massage for the team. This helps the athlete prepare for the race, by warming up the muscles and also for their recovery after the race. This contributes to their training regime and is as much a part of their maintenance programme as diet is. Massage definitely enhances the performance of each athlete and hopefully contributing to the success of this team. do come and visit us. Reiki Training In June 2006, I completed my Reiki Master training which now enables me to teach Reiki to others. Since I took my first level of Reiki in 2003, I have learned so much about Reiki and continue to use it in all aspects of my life on a daily basis. It has helped me to become stronger, more positive and content and given me the belief that I can achieve my goals.
